Ape’s Journey

My role: Sound Design, implementation and Dolby Atmos mixing in Wwise

Ape’s Journey is a short game developed by one of my instructors in 3d-Audio at Sonic College. Our job as students was to add sound to it and mix it in our Dolby Atmos Mastering Suite. We were put into teams, where each student had a specific task. I was in charge of the sound effects.

My work in context of the whole teams’s work

Using the ‘Steering’ speaker panning in Wwise, you are able to define where a sound should come from in three dimensions. Wwise automatically detects if an Atmos system is connected, and sends this as an audio object.
